Mina's venture into the health and fitness industry began as a teenager when she got her first membership to the local YMCA. She attended a weight-training orientation, and found it to be a great way to feel empowered, fit and strong. This seemingly apparent start to her destiny had to take a small detour: Mina was raised in a musical family (she could play seven instruments) and so it was only natural that she went on to receive her Bachelors of Music Education at the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Despite this, she never abandoned the gym, and shortly after graduation, decided to take a group fitness certification course, and began teaching fitness classes on a
part-time basis.

For several years, Mina led a double-life as a music teacher and fitness instructor, until finally in 2003, she made the decision to enter the health and fitness industry full-time. That year, she received her NSCA personal trainer's certification, and later, her CSCS. She trained extensively with Movement Therapist and Master Pilates instructor, Janet Lemon, who opened her eyes to a more in-depth view of how the body externally manifested the energy within. She has also travelled to Arizona to learn the Fascial Stretch Therapy™ system from Ann and Chris Frederick, with whom she currently holds a level II certification.

In 2006, Mina attended the Poliquin International Coaching Program (PICP) level I and Biosignature seminar taught by Charles Poliquin. Immediately impressed with the knowledge that she came away with, she was eager to sign up for his PICP level II course the following year. She completed the course at the top of her class, having become the first person ever to score 100% on all theory, technical, and practical exams of both levels I and II. Her experiences there opened up the opportunity to train top business executives and amateur athletes at the exclusive Poliquin Performance Centre in Toronto . Recently, she was given the honour of joining the Poliquin organization as an assistant PICP Course Conductor to travel with top coach Andre Benoit to teach PICP courses to other aspiring strength coaches.

When she is not travelling, Mina splits her time training clients in the financial district of downtown Toronto as well as north of the city in Aurora . She continues to dedicate her time to enriching her knowledge of health and fitness so that she can help clients begin their journey to a healthier and more active lifestyle.
